What to Expect from the IPL Treatment Process

The IPL treatment process is straightforward and can be broken down into three key stages:

Before Treatment

The journey begins with a comprehensive dry eye assessment to ensure IPL is right for you. Our team may recommend certain precautions, such as avoiding specific medications or skincare products, to prepare your skin for the procedure.

During Treatment

Your eyes will be protected with shields, and a cooling gel will be applied to the treatment area for comfort. Precise pulses of light are then delivered to your upper cheeks, the forehead, and the eyelid area, to target inflammation.

After Treatment

Many patients experience relief, after 2 sessions with optimal results developing over a series of 4 session. You may notice mild redness or sensitivity, but these effects are usually minimal. Good sun screen is necessary after IPL therapy due to photosensitizing effects.  We’ll provide you with detailed aftercare instructions to help you get the most out of your IPL therapy.
