Self-Hosted Fonts

  • Fonts now load from our own server instead of Google, removing two extra network round trips from every first page load
  • Text settles into place faster and with less shifting while the page loads
  • No visitor data is sent to Google for fonts anymore

Journal, Booking Fix & Location Video

Dedicated Service Pages, Story & Brands

  • Every service now has its own dedicated page with detailed content and FAQs
  • Seven services, led by a Comprehensive Eye Exam, plus Child Exams, Myopia Control, Dry Eye Treatment, Dry Eye Work-Up, Contact Lenses, and Medical Eye Care
  • Services overview is now a clean grid linking into each page; “Learn More” points to the right page
  • About story now notes Dr. Walton acquired North Park Optometry, a neighborhood institution since 1956
  • Eyewear brands updated to the full list of frame lines carried (please spot-check the shop links)
  • Header and footer now use the cleaned-up logo (location line removed)

Reviewer Feedback, Round 2

  • Location pages restructured: booking sits right up top, with address, hours, and contact below it
  • New Locations dropdown in the main menu for jumping straight to a practice
  • Eyewear page: added a Shop Frames banner linking to the online store
  • Services: buttons changed from “Book This Service” to “Learn More”
  • About: brighter hero image and trimmed copy
  • Heights now leads with the wide interior shot; location photos tidied for consistency

Booking Widget & Image Refresh

  • MyVisionPal booking widget now live on all three location pages (replaces the previous booking embed)
  • New, properly matched photos for all seven services (child exams, myopia control, glaucoma, dry eye, dry eye work-up, IPL, punctal plugs)
  • Fixed the eyewear page images, which were mistakenly showing dry-eye equipment for frames and sunglasses
  • Warmer, on-brand imagery on the About page and social share preview

  • Accessibility score to 100 — fixed color contrast on the review strip, footer, and secondary text
  • SEO score to 100 — descriptive link text
  • Best Practices to 100 — corrected the header logo aspect ratio
  • Fonts now preloaded instead of render-blocking — faster first paint, layout shift (CLS) down to zero
  • Hero video deferred off the critical path so the page paints immediately (video delivery to be optimized via CDN before launch)
  • Descriptive ids on every section so reviewer feedback captures the exact section
