Inside a Vision Collective optometry practice in San Diego

About Us

Independent by choice, local by heart.

The Vision Collective is a locally owned, independent group of optometry practices, run by doctors who care about their neighbors' eyes.

Our Story

It started with one practice on Adams Avenue.

In 2015, Dr. Meredith Walton opened Heights Optometry with a simple conviction: eye care should be personal, proactive, and rooted in the neighborhood it serves. Patients agreed. In 2017, she acquired North Park Optometry, a neighborhood institution caring for North Park since 1956, and in 2023 opened La Mesa Optometry.

Today, The Vision Collective is three practices sharing one standard of care. Every location combines comprehensive exams and advanced diagnostic technology with a curated optical shop and a team that knows your name when you walk in.

At The Vision Collective, our mission is to provide every patient with clear and comfortable vision through personalized care and advanced technology.
